We’ll send you a selection of the best new children’s books published within the previous three-month period, including a mix of fiction and non-fiction, and incorporating a variety of text types. We’ll include anything from debut titles to the latest books from popular authors, and we’ll always do our best to include a diverse selection, so there’s something to appeal to every pupil.
Our book subscription service is the easy way to keep your library or classroom reading corner up-to-date – and have our team do the hard work for you! The benefits of reading for pleasure and the impact it has on children’s wellbeing and attainment are proven, and we’ll always choose books we think have wide appeal – so there’s bound to be something to help you get all your pupils hooked. Plus, each term you’ll get a selection of free goodies (such as bookmarks, posters, standees and more) that you can use to create engaging book-themed displays.
Because books included will depend on the new publishing that becomes available, unfortunately it isn’t possible to choose your books in advance.

All subscriptions are offered with 20% off the RRP. The discount is already incorporated, so for the full year cost to your school of £750 you will receive £937.50 worth of books. That’s £312.50 worth of books every term.
You can order your subscription online in the same way you usually order books at peters.co.uk. Once you’ve placed your order, a member of our team will contact you with an invoice to be paid via your school account.
You can get in touch with us any time to opt in to one of our subscription packages. We’ll confirm when you’ll receive your first book box when contacting you to arrange your invoice. There will be a cut off each term for sending out subscription books – typically around half-term. If you opt in after this date, we’ll start sending you books from the following school term.
For example, if you contact us in July, we’ll send your first batch of books in September.
Once your books have been sent out, unfortunately it’s not possible to return or exchange a book from your selection.
Books in your subscription will be supplied unserviced (without protective jackets or labels). If you have a query about jackets and labels, or would like jackets for your books, please contact us at hello@peters.co.uk.
Your subscription books will be delivered free of charge.
Subscribing schools must opt-in and pay up front for at least one full year (three school terms). After one year, your subscription will automatically roll over until the next academic year unless cancellation is requested. We will send a new invoice at the beginning of Year 2. Schools are free to cancel before payment at the beginning of the year made by contacting us at the point of invoice.
